- True. The mother board did not have terminating rsistors installed when
- delivered. It didn't seem to affect performance in any noticeable way.
- Do you recommend terminating resistors on the mother board?
-
- The source of my problems actually lay in the orientation of one of the
- reisitor packs on the end Maxtor drive. It was reversed! I had removed the
- packs from the intermediate drive ok, but then swapped drives and packs. In
- doing so I must have reversed one of the packs.
-
- Two years of odd read errors and warming up the drives with a hair drier in
- winter are now behind me thanks to this newsgroup. Thanks guys!!!
